From what I googled, Richard's both male and female parts should be infertile. But here, his female parts are apparently working normally but his male parts do not.

Not true there's many hermaphrodites that's have children, there's a duo that lives to talk about how they accepted their bodies (cause many have surgery to become either just male or female) & they are parent/child both hermaphrodites yes they can get pregnant.

Everyone wants something of you, or to backstab you, thus you have to kill them first and either you end up not killing enough and that's your end, or you kill to many, and then there are no more competent underlings...

The pregnancy arc finished in just one episode, but frankly I thought they might even skip it as from the raws it seems it was pretty much pointless except the part that it lead to Buckingham's betrayal, which causes the more...historical turn of events. This relationship was so unhealthy, based on possessiveness and just desperate need for affection, so I am glad we finally came to the point it's over.

I fully agree. There is nothing healthy or even loving about it. Not how it starts, nor how it's going to end. And in the end it won't even have any actual impact...I wish I could say it's just that in the anime everything was rushed so we lost the good parts of it, but in reality, in manga all the moments that didn't make it to the anime, only made it more sick, more twisted and more "Use me to use you" kind of relationship. For Richard anyone that would accept him and be nice to him would do as a partner. As for Buckingham...possessive power over Richard was his top desire.

It feels like Buckingham was originally meant to be an obstacle for Richard and Henry but somewhere along the lines it went off the rails lol. It just doesn't feel cohesive. I'm not sure where the story is trying to go with it. One moment Buckingham will be horribly toxic, but then the next moment they're getting a beautiful romantic scene together in a lake? The series seems to be trying to have it both ways. But that's just how I feel about it.

No, it's true. And that scene was beautiful indeed. I think if the series was less of a harem, it could have a more balanced development and miss tones of drama, especially in the manga. But at least in the manga you can actually see the true feelings and growth of characters, while in the anime it's too plain and surface in comparison. Richard might seem to be a couple with Buckingham but in the end this will seem to have no impact for Richard.

It depends on the anime genre really...but in this one it strikes quite badly because of the characters falling into loops. Richard in every single episode has at least 1-2 times where he has his inner self loathing monologue about his Demon body and Henry B. has his own rage loop of possessive inner monologue, so all their claims of love feel empty when the reasons behind their bond is so selfish. Richard even points out it's convenient to stay by him because he is used to be having another body next to him. Anyone would do. And this is why he first falls for his "father" then Henry (king) then grows feelings for Anne then bonds with Henry B. He just needs someone to accept him. This is not love. And Buckingham just wants to have power over Richard and the moment he is denied to that, without hesitation decides to kill him. Yeah...this feels more like a 90s telenovela than anime sometimes...

I don't disagree. What I point out is mostly about the fact that in the manga, from what I have seen in the raws, this arc doesn't seem to affect the plot at all. At this point I am not even sure if the pregnancy was even a fact or an assumption...
